He is an ex catholic priest from Germany who started Protestantism. He is hailed as a Reformer by his followers.

What really made Martin Luther have hatred towards the Jews?
Since the inception of Protestantism, Martin Luther tried to convert Jews to Christianity. But miserably failed. So, through out his career as a protestant priest, he was finding ways to destroy them which is clearly evident from his writings.

In his book "On the Jews and their Lies" 1526 and 1543, he urges the readers to burn them and their synagogues, their schools and thier properties and wipe away the entire Jewish community from existence for not accepting Christianity. No doubt, The Nazi leader Adolf Hitler is inspired by his writings.
